Irish restaurant chain to offer free wireless Internet access to customers

Dublin and Galway, Ireland, 15 March 2010 – Supermac’s, Ireland’s largest indigenous fast food group, announced today that it has teamed up with Dublin-based Anacapa Holdings, Ltd. to provide Anacapa’s “free-hotspot.com” brand of free wireless Internet access for its customers in the company’s restaurants across Ireland.

Pat McDonough, Managing Director of Supermac’s, hailed the decision as part of the company’s forward-looking marketing strategy. “We are actively leveraging new media and new technologies to improve the Supermac’s experience for our customers,” he explained. “We see free Wi-Fi as an important part of this initiative.”

Visitors to Supermac’s locations will now be able to access the Internet at no cost when they are in a restaurant. The free-hotspot.com system is especially easy to use for those with iPhones, iPod, Blackberrys and other mobile devices, as users can log on to the Internet with a single click and without having to enter email address, phone number, passwords or other personal information.

Joe Brunoli. Managing Director of free-hotspot.com, explained the unique aspects of the Wi-Fi system that Supermac’s has adopted. “Our service not only provides free Internet access for customers,” he said, “it also offers Supermac’s a way to communicate and market to their customers using the Wi-Fi system.”

The Wi-Fi equipment in the Supermac’s locations is installed and maintained by Computer Troubleshooters of Galway.

Supermac’s “HotSpots” are currently operating in 20 of the company restaurants in Ireland, with more locations planned to go online in the course of 2010. To find the Supermac’s HotSpot nearest you, visit www.supermacs.ie.
