Troubleshooting Guide
FIRST - Locate your Wi-Fi Router
Your HotSpot Equipment (the Wi-Fi Router) is usually located near your DSL model or phone line wall jack, but it may also be placed in the ceiling or elsewhere.
free-hotspot.com uses two types of wireless gateways (routers).
Please click on the router that you have in your HotSpot:

Troubleshooting Guide - LINKSYS ROUTERS
Once you have located the router, please check the router as follows:
1) Ensure that the router is plugged in to an electrical source (wall outlet) *If the router has been unplugged from the power source, please reconnect the power cord to the wall socket
2) Ensure that the power cord is also plugged into the rear of the router:
Linksys Power Cord Connection:

*If the Power Cord has been unplugged from the back of the router,, please reconnect the cord,
3) Ensure that the Network Cable (coming from the DSL modem or the wall socket) is plugged into the WAN port of the HotSpot router:
Linksys Network Cable (WAN) Connection:

*If the Network Cable has been unplugged from the router, please reconnect the cable to the far-left port on the back of the router
4) RE-BOOT the HotSpot router by unplugging the Power Cord, waiting FIVE (5) seconds, and then reconnecting the Power Cord to the router:
Linksys Router Re-Boot:

*Once you have reconnected the Power Cord, the router should re-boot and be back online within 1 or 2 minutes.
5) After the re-boot sequence is complete, ensure that the correct indicator lights are lit:
Linksys: three (3) lights for Power, WLAN and Internet

Troubleshooting Guide - ASUS ROUTERS
1. Ensure the white ASUS box is properly plugged in

2. Ensure the DSL Modem is properly plugged in
3. Ensure the cable between the Asus Box and the DSL Modem is properly connected at both ends
4. Unplug the DSL Modem from the power supply and then unplug the Asus box from the power supply
5. Wait 5 minutes
6. Plug the DSL Modem back into to power supply and wait for 2 to 3 minutes
7. Then plug the Asus box back into the power supply and wait for 5 minutes.
8, With a wi-fi enabled device (iPhone, laptop or other) check that you can access the internet via the hotspot.
